Ambush Alley

A fun day today. We had friends around for lunch. We talked about old times and caught up on the news. I was going to take a portrait but we ate too much and got all lazy untill all of a sudden it was time to get up and go.

This left me without a blip!!! I see the 2012 Challenge is shadows which gave me some ideas. However both boys are out partying leaving me with no assistancs or subjects.

So a quick trip down the road led me to a small alleyway that cuts through to the local supermarket. When its is frequented by gangs of loitering youths it can be a bit intimidating. Thankfully it was deserted with the solitary lampost casting long shadows.

So here is a version one. I will re visit this, I think there is scope for a film-noire type shadowy shot in the fututre.
