Pambula to Lakes Entrance
Home tomorrow but today we drove steadily stopping at Eden and then Genoa for a good cup of coffee before finally settling for a cup of tea at Cann.
Even though we didn't manage to hunt down a respectable coffee we were compensated by excellent shooting opportunities. Including, I might add, pelicans for TeeJay as that was one of her 'must haves'. And, here is the twist, she insisted I flush them out for her to get action shots! This, I naturally refused for the obvious dangers such an act would put me in - I mean, these are pretty big birds - but I did, as compensation, flush out a baby swallow for her.
One of the best tips came from a sailor TeeJay was flirting with in order to gain info about pelicans. We were told to head to Quarantine Bay as that is where they hide out in the cold weather. Once there we didn't find pelicans but instead found Shags, sea gulls, seals and stingrays. One of which I captured well enough to blip as I know I am not likely to ever get that chance again.
