Baking

No more lazing on the sofa for me. Oh well, once every 7 years is probably as much as I can expect really.
I had sort of half and half intentions today - cook dinner with little one whilst littlest one was at a party with other half. Try to get some zonkedonthesofa time this afternoon.
Other half responded to an innocent request to get some peas for me at lunchtime from the slightly tempermental overflow freezer in the garage with a "oh. I think it's proper broken now, everything's half defrosted."
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARGH!
So my afternoon was spent binning cheap and mostly defrosted things, ramming expensive things into the teenyweeny indoor freezer and making jam (which is very much softset - bah) with all the fruit that was in the freezer and wouldn't fit anywhere.
Huh.
I did then convince the kids we should play wii party together. Cue overtired littlest one chucking a billion and one strops. Oh well I tried.

This is little one helping me make beetroot brownies whilst the boys weren't around to see what went into them. Sound odd, taste good AND kinda healthy AND used up the last bit of beetroot I couldn't be bothered to do anything with.
There was no bliddy icecream to have with them though... ;)
