In which I pine...
It's not quite the full moon tonight, but close, and the sky is clear. I stepped out for a quick trip and was immediately riveted by the moon behind the trees near my home. Now, you might have noticed I blip from my mobile - which failed critically to capture the scene as anything but a blob of intense light.
So, I momentarily gave up my trip and ran inside for the stand-alone camera we take on holidays (purchased specifically for its underwater capacity, for our honeymoon a couple years ago to the Florida Keys). Above is the best I could make it produce, although admittedly I know little about the device. White knight can make it do wondrous things...yet this is not the best photo, more spooky than haunting, as it was to my eye. At least in this the trees are (sort of ) apparent.
And thus, knowing what a great shot could have been had, I am now pining for more serious photography equipment and the time to learn.
Despite, it was interesting to purposefully fiddle with controls, and sit excruciatingly still as the exposure time went on and on, and finally to plug into my computer and create this post - as opposed to whipping out the mobile and tap, BAM!, Blip. :)
