At last

This may look like a dull building site to you, but it's heaven on a stick to us. We actually have proper builders on site, laying actual blocks that will be the foundations of our new house.

It's now 17 months since we agreed to buy the land and it's taken forever to get to this point. We're told that things will move very fast from now on. Phew! What a relief.

Our English architect goes on holiday for 2.5 months on Sunday, so we have one final meeting before he leaves. Fortunately we have our French architect to oversee stuff while he's away. In theory the roof may be on by the time he returns. Please cross your fingers for us eh?
