This little woodpecker could not have been more cooperative. I spotted him sitting on the tree, and, as quietly as possible, I crept closer and closer. For three or four minutes, he sat motionless. He wasn't even pecking at the tree. Finally I reached the base of the tree and got this shot. Then he took off like an arrow and landed in a distant tree, but I had my blip!
