Flicker

To my delight I spotted a pair of flickers just as I arrived at the park for my photo walk...in the same place I spotted the goldfinch I blipped a few days ago. This isn't a rare bird, but it is a rare sighting for me, so I was pretty excited. It was a beautiful morning, sunny and cool...about as perfect as a July morning can get. Tonight we are going out to celebrate our granddaughter's birthday and enjoy pizza...her choice for the birthday meal. An occasional blipper, she will be 24 next week, but will be on vacation too far away to celebrate with us. Happy Birthday, Carrie.
