Butterfly ID needed

There has been an abundance of the little cabbage white butterflies that I previously blipped. Everywhere I look, there they are, it seems. But today I was lucky to see this beautiful black butterfly. Does anyone know what it is? If this keeps up, I will have to buy a butterfly book.

Bought some new photographic equipment today...an HP Photosmart compact portable printer. So now, when I get a photo op with some proud owner's pup, I can come home, print it out, and give them a copy. That's all the blipping for tonight. I'm going to get my new toy out of the box and see how to set it up.
