Where Did You Get That Bag?
I am fortunate to have a head that suits hats. I do like them but rarely wear one. That's about to change. This is today's bargain, a beautiful felt hat reduced to a ridiculous £1.00. Who could resist, well my friend Pauline could, she tried it on and even at £1 it would have been a pound wasted, she looked somewhat foolish. She wasn't disappointed though, she got leather shoes reduced from £79 to £3.00.
It was an unexpected shop for us today, we had planned coffee - no cake - boring January, and a chat. Chatting with Pauline is always a tonic, she has such a positive upbeat view on life. Despite 4 operations in 4 years she is still smiling. We chat of our families the joys and woes, we discuss the future, even though we both can't tell what it holds for either of us. Life is a fragile gift and should never be wasted, moaned about or unappreciated.
I have been scouring the sales for a new handbag, as the one I love, which fits my camera and everything else, sets off security alarms in almost every store. Tescos have had the bag and its contents displayed for all to see several times. I had lost faith in the bag. My family were refusing to go anywhere with me if I had 'the bag'. So today as a parting gift, I ripped open the lining, and there right at the bottom, under the lining and folds of leather was a security tag. Someone was having a laugh I reckon.
Not only will I now be wearing my hat with pride, it also offered me the chance to play about lighting in an attempt to get it looking its absolute best. What a Bobby Dazzler.
