Cannula cam...

Eeeeeeeeeewwwww!!!!

To be honest there's not a huge amount of potential today for a blip as I'm in hospital having my tonsils out... I got quite a good pic of my tonsils before surgery but thought this was slightly better.

I am totally irrationally terrified of cannulas - they just freak me out and I hate hate hate having them put in, but today I asked for the "magic cream" that everyone goes on about (I think it's called emla cream) which they put on an hour beforehand and I could barely feel it! I was also stressed about the GA but that was absolutely fine - very odd but fine.

So far the pain from the op hasn't been too bad and the nurse was stunned to see how well I'm doing but the consultant then came in to see me and told me that I'm still enjoying the effects of the morphine and can expect to feel much worse before I feel better with the worst on about day 5 - what a happy little ray of sunshine he is! But I've decided he knows nothing and I'm going to be fine!! I'm due home tomorrow morning but won't see the girls till Sunday as they're off to stay with my mum and dad for the weekend. I know I'm in no fit state to look after them but I'm missing them so much! Nigel stayed with me for ages today which was so nice (thanks for the foot rub darling!!) but I do miss my little pickles and their fabulous "squeezy cuddles"!
