The hills are alive...
Well, yesterday the camera, the sky, and the birds were all in synch, but the power lines detracted from the shots. I fixed that today by moving to a different spot on the other side of the lines, so what happens? Battery issues. Sigh. I know, I should have my spare with me, but today was a weird day and my brain was elsewhere (with good reason). So I got off about 6 shots before it died. It's not the best representation of the starling murmuration. The tree in front would normally be filled with crows, but a red tailed hawk was hanging out here till just before I took the shot. If you look closely, you can see the trees to the right are filled with crows. The sky was pretty again tonight and I got more "crows on fire" shots, but I decided to go with this one.
Today was B's last day at work. We've worked at the same place for over 20 years, and it's going to be a hard adjustment not having that togetherness. It's going to be really hard to hang in, but in a little less than 9 years I can be free and join him.
