Mendick Hill

Woke up this morning to clear blue skies and unusually for the Borders they stayed clear all day. Dropped Cameron off at Playgroup first thing this morning and Rory and I headed for the hills, literally! This is Mendick Hill, the most prominent hill surrounding West Linton, and in the foreground is the West Linton Golf Course. Its a lovely walk through the golf course up to the reservoir. At the time it felt the sun was streaming down, but looking back at the photos you can see a lot of the shadow where the sun wasn't quite high enough.

A light snack in the village tea shop, followed by friends joining us for lunch and then a quick visit to some other friends in the village. Phew, busy day but great.
