Doe and her fawn
I happened upon this doe and her fawn milling about while riding my bike in the nearby forest preserve. By the time I whipped out my camera, the fawn had already darted into the trees, but he stayed nearby to make sure his mother was OK. Can you find him in the photo?
I watched them for a while and realized how truly magnificent deer are. I can't imagine why anyone could bring themselves to shoot and skin them. Deer are arguably some of the most graceful and harmless creatures in the world.
