Dimes & Butterfiles

Since I moved here (my dad's house), I've been finding dimes everywhere: on the floor, in my bed, on my computer chair, and even in the bathroom sink.

It means only one of two things: that there is another presence in the house or that the power of suggestion has made me notice dimes more than other coins. For those who have no clue what I'm talking about, my stepmom, who passed away in this house last year, found dimes in the strangest places and she saved them all because she believed that there was a link between dimes and the afterlife.

She read a story written by a mother of a little boy. Every week, the little boy took a dime out of his allowance and give it to his mother "for being a wonderful mommy". Then one day the boy died. The mother, however, continued to get a dime every week. He left them in places that reminded her of him.

My stepmom really took that story to heart and she began finding dimes in places that reminded her of her own late son.

I've read "pennies from heaven" stories; instead of dimes, people would find pennies from people they've lost. Has anything of this sort ever happened to anyone on here?
