Clear off!
Very hard frost this morning and everything was sparkling in the sunshine. Lots of birds were down feeding in the garden from the various food sources. I spent ages taking pictures but they just won't stay still long enough! Very frustrating as there was quite a variety of garden birds all feeding together. Dozens of photos later not one was satisfactory.
Gave up and set off for Thirsk. Before leaving the market square I spotted this rook as he took what looked like a slice of toast up to the lamp where he held it in his feet and pecked at it. Before long he was joined by a cheeky jackdaw who gradually edged along the beam trying to look nonchalant. Seconds after I took this the rook chased him off but in the process dropped his toast! Not an altogether satisfactory shot but the best of the dozen or so I took.
Lovely weather for the afternoon walk, the frost is still in the shaded areas and the ground pretty firm. Hope it continues like this, perfect for walks.
Not able to blip for a day or two. Off to daughter number 2 near Derby then on to stay with a good friend I haven't seen for a long time. She lives near Keswick so hope to get some Lakeland shots Trevor! Backblips should appear Wednesday-ish.
