A Big day in Kerikeri

Today was the official opening of the Stone Store bypass. It has been open for about 4 weeks but is being officially opened by the Prime minister, Helen Clark. The ceremoies will include a procession of Classic Cars.
We could, unfortunately, not go as two workmen had arranged to come, but had our own mini procession when neighbours Brad and Helen drove past our section on the way there. Brad collects Rovers, and has nine of them. This one is 1964 Rover 95 model, 2.6 litre engine but not the one with the aluminium doors. Helen was driving a 1983 SD1, but this is my favourite , and I couldn't get the two cars together in a shot.
