Chillin'
I woke up this morning to a surprise. Somehow I thought the nice weather we've been having was going to last until the snow hit on Sunday, but Mother Nature had other plans. A windy, rainy, wild day with a bit of snow in the afternoon. I drove over to Fox Island to see one of my massage therapists. It's been almost a year since I've seen her, she went out on maternity leave and never returned to the office I normally go to. On my way out I stopped just before the bridge to the mainland and saw a Bufflehead pair diving just off the beach. I was halfway down to the water before I noticed this guy. It was cold and windy and I don't blame him a bit for looking not so happy. There was a huge ugly cloud to the south that was threatening snow, so I got some shots off and beat feet home. The bufflehead's were too far out of reach, and this guy seemed to capture the day. Hunker down and ride out the cold. Or, if you're a human, get home and build a nice fire and make a hot meal.
Only about an inch of snow so far, but more tomorrow hopefully.
