Rinchen Pasang
I call her Rinnie. She's a Lhasa Apso, a breed from Tibet, however ironically she's not so thrilled about snow. She will however follow me anywhere (except to the bathtub, she hates a bath worse than snow). As I was walking around taking photos, thinking of clever captions like "Snow falling on cedars", she would do her usual gallop at me. I think that it looks really cool when she does that in the snow, like she's an angel flying with all her hair flipping about. If I were a good mom, I'd take her to a groomer once a month and have one of those ugly puppy cuts done. I'm not, so I brush her and bathe her on occasion and so she generally looks a little messy because I'm not skilled enough do a haute couture cut on her like in the dog shows. She's a good dog, and being deaf in one ear, she's my ears. She doesn't bark much, but when she does you know something is wrong, like the next door neighbor's house is on fire or there's a possum in the tree (or the UPS man is here, whom she HATES). She's also excellent about responding to my parrots alarm calls of a cat in the backyard by chasing them out. She's not very needy, which is good because the parrots are.
So no snow blips yet, but you get to see a little in this one. Snowing on and off all day, only about 2 inches accumulated at this point.
