Cairns Day 4

Another huge day.

In the morning we did the Kuranda Rail which winds its way up the range to the township of Kuranda. The scenery was magnificent, the makets at Kuranda were a bit of a tourist trap but the trip home was fantastic. We took the Skyrail back down the range. The Skyrail is a 40 minute cablecar ride above the rainforest canopy. Worth the ride.

That took us most of the day.

In the evening the rest of the party threw a well planned surprise (and belated) 40th birthday party for me. I got absolutely trolleyed and I wasn't the only one.

A good night was had by all.
