Pacific Grove on the Monterey Bay

This was a beautiful day on Monterey Bay. We ate breakfast at the "Beach Resort" which provides an exceptional view of the shoreline of Monterey and Pacific Grove. After breakfast we drove along the water's edge. This piece of geography has always captured our interest. If someone offered us a home here, we wouldn't have to think twice. The view from here is spectacular.

Soon after this photo was captured the clouds thickened and we didn't see the sun again today. The wind kicked-up, the tempterature dropped, and we slipped into our winter coats to snuggle as we drove through this interesting community looking at the view of the ocean, the unique houses, the birds, the boats, and the people. This has been a fun day. As we drove, our 3 pups just snoozed and snoozed. A couple times we stopped at parks so they could walk, sniff, and enjoy their view of Monterey and Pacific Grove.

This evening from our rented vacation room, we watched "The 69th Annual Golden Globes." I love the "awards shows," and Mr. Fun just puts up with my fondness for these programs. I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that I was born in Hollywood. I doubt it!

Good night from a very cold Monterey Bay, but a great winter vacation spot!
