Part of the extensive system of mobile sand dunes, dune slacks and heaths that stretch south from Newburgh on Ythan, much of it designated as being a Site of Special Scientific Importance (SSSI). The patches of vivid green, alien grass are part of Mr Donald Trump's new golf course that is being built in the area. Zoomify to best appreciate the destruction of the landscape. Sadly, the worst is yet to come, a huge club-house, a mega-hotel and a new village of 500 houses, and 950 holiday homes.
