Rise and Fall

About the sculpture
'Rise and Fall' by Lulu Quinn was installed in 2007. It is a 6m high, steel and glass archway designed to create a meeting place and dynamic viewing platform. It is animated from within by white fluorescent tubes. Just behind the sculpture the High Level and Tyne Bridges tower above the river. If you look closely you can see a reflection of the High Level Bridge on the steel base.
