Say it with flowers

One of the best things about working just round the corner from my friend Mel is that we can have impromptu get-togethers from time to time. An email arrived from her at 11.45 today saying "My 12 o'clock meeting's cancelled. Lunch?" and, not having any meetings myself until 2.00,* I was happy to oblige!

Having had a thorough catch-up we stopped off on the way back to our respective offices so that she could buy some roses for her paramour. Romance is NOT dead!
