Ferry good!

Yet another flaming ferry! I hate boats especially little teeny ones that bob about like a cork! Had to go to Arran and left it rather fine leaving the house, 10 mins down the road I see my fuel gauge is reading RED! no petrol station in Tarbert now and the next one would be Brodick on Arran, couldn't chance it so had to turn back and fuel up here so you can imagine the speed driving to Tarbert! Got there with about three mins to spare. decided to remain in the car as its a small open top (convertible) ferry! and tried to read my Kindle but the damn thing was bouncing about so much I couldnt read a word. Thought fine I will have a wee doze! have you tried sleeping in a cold car in a what seems like a roller coaster? It didnt help matters when the crew ran out and chained down the big tanker that was on with me! then they uncovered the life belts and started counting them!!!!!! Did they know something I didnt? I suppose after that calamaty with the Italian cruise vessel folks are just that wee bit more aware of things going on around them in boats at the moment.
Finally got to Arran, had my meeting and was then off the other end at Brodick on the much larger I think it was the Lord of the Isles or Lotti as us islanders call her. She was rough too but at least I could be miserable in comfort!
