Another Working Wednesday.

'W' stands for WORKING WEDNESDAY!
Yes, it was back to work today but I never look upon it as work.I get so much from going to the the centre - a friendly WELCOME, WILLING participants with WARM smiles and WINNING contributions!
The ethos of our group is that our members be encouraged to take their own decisions, suggest what route and activities they would like to follow and participate in, and to be responsible for the decisions they take in their every day lives. They are encouraged to use their talents , speak openly, express their uniqueness. After all there is only one of each of us in this world-we are all totally unique.
Today our members were asked to transfer a design of their own choosing (which they produced in rough last week)on to a canvas bag .They are hoping to have a little mini sale of all the goods they produce later in the year to raise money for charity.
Art is a means of reminding us of the importance of expressing our authentic self. So many of us wear masks in this world. We show one aspect of ourselves to the world, but our true self remains hidden.This particular member we discovered has a love of owls.I really think her love of them shines through in her work.
