Piracy?

Wikipedia has shut down for 24 hours in a protest against mooted internet piracy laws in the United States. No Wikipoo from 05.00 GMT Wednesday until 05.00 Thursday.

The Stop Online Piracy Act (SOPA) is a bit like trying to destroy Caxton's or Gutenberg's printing presses, after they have been operating for two decades.

Hmmm. I don't think so...

Fortunately, President Obama is openly opposed to SOPA, although he must be shaking in his boots, because Rupert Murdoch has tweeted (yes, TWEETED) that the President "has thrown in his lot with Silicon Valley paymasters".
