Tractor wheels

So this ice here is in the imprint of a tractor. It great big wheels have left the usual tractoy marks all through the woodland that I go dog walking in. Its slightly disrupted the path making it awkward to walk on and unattractive to look at.

But then in the midst of this and the cold lays ice. Ice that had formed layers and is something to behold. Something that was very satisfying to slide on, jump on and ultimately, to crack.

Its interesting how out from the broken comes something new. Something complex. Something wonderful. The brokenness needs to be embraced before it can develop.
