Snowmageddon
That's what they called today. I'm sure there are people in Buffalo or Fairbanks laughing at us right now, but when real snow is a rarity, it's like the pope coming to town. A banner is thrown out, and ours just happens to say, "snowmageddon".
I want to thank everyone who commented on my desperation blip yesterday, and tho I normally try to respond back, there were just too many issues going on here today. From keeping tabs on the weather and deciding to brave it to work, to being one of the only people who showed up, I had hardly a second of time for me. I used that to go to Starbucks for a coffee and some grub. I did read every comment, and I saw everyone's photos today, and soon things will settle down and I can get back to normal.
This is one of my favorite trees, a contorted filbert, in the little park across the street from where I work. It's one of Kent's sister city parks. It was planted for a former employee who found out when she was pregnant that she had stage 4 breast cancer. As you can kind of see, we had around 5 inches in the valley today. I have about twice that at my house. It was very slushy on the way home, and it's supposed to ice up tonight, so I'll be up early to make the decision if it's a good idea to go to work or not. Oh joy....
