Carol: Rosie & Mr. Fun

Cold Countdown to Sunset

The temperature here on the Central Coast is cold. So we bundled-up to watch the waves and the sun as the day ended. Even though it seems like we are in the middle of nowhere, just moments before the sunset, a small crowd gathered to watch . . . sunset never loses it attraction. Then during the next 45 minutes the sky presented a palette of colors that started with pale pink and moved across the color wheel to a stunning red . . . definitely an award winning performance.

This morning we drove 18 miles south into Cayucos to leave the three pups for a ten o'clock appointment with a quality dog groomer we had met this past summer; then we were headed to meet-up with our friends Al & June to see their Cayucos vacation/retirement home, which is lovely, and then we all went to the "Sea Shanty" for lunch. We had a great time with them and in the course of approximately 3+ hours we discussed cruise ships, presidential politics, and America producing oil. I don't we solved any of the world's problems, but we certainly enjoyed one another. Then they followed us to the groomer's shop to see the three pups (who were so clean and smelled so lovely). Then we all hugged goodbye and we were on our way north to see the sunset; then dinner, and finally back to our vacation room, the one we had enjoyed last night, and the one we are calling home for another night.

I think tomorrow we're headed home, but I won't guarantee anything; Mr. Fun is calling the shots and he's about as spontaneous as anyone I have ever known. Today's photo is to his credit!

Good night from the Central Coast of California.
Rosie (& Mr. Fun, and Chloe, Mitzi, and Max), aka Carol
