The Alnwick Garden (again!)

Today was Activity Day for our school and I went with Year 6 to The Alnwick Garden. I was there with Hubby and Grace a couple of weeks ago to check the venue out in preparation for the school visit, but it rained and we had a pretty miserable day.

However, today we were blessed with warm sunshine. The Garden was resplendent and the kids had the most wonderful time. They splashed around (and got soaked through!) in water jets and fountains, ran up and down under these hornbeam pergolas, bounded around the rope bridges in the massive treehouse and were fascinated by the scary stories in The Poison Garden. I think the Garden is not a place for adults alone or even adults with very young kids like Grace - although it is still a pleasant enough day out for such people. However, it is perfect for kids that are old enough to run around and explore, especially on a summer's day like this!

On a separate note, I have a plea for help with a photography matter. I took some photos in the Poison Garden and elsewhere which turned out looking a bit, well PINK. Any ideas what might have caused this?
