Feathered highwayman

Was met by this on the way to work. Grumpy, aggressive and taking up most of the narrow canal path. In the past I have resorted to throwing bits of sandwich to distract them - well, bits of child's sandwich! Not gonna waste mylunch in this way, so risked a quick dash. It was there again tonight, used a child as a human shield. What? What?!
