Was part of a VisitScotland focus group today - being asked to provide information about my views on their performance. I tried to be fair and praise where appropriate, although some of the old bugbears are no different from when I've been asked to suggest improvements in the past.

But this afternoon I started a new and fascinating assignment, assisting the Jim Clark Rally with some social media strategy. Lovely folks to chat with there, and some time to spend looking at whizzy cars and fans of motorsport. Helping Festivals is a great thing to be able to do - such variety!

In the holiday rental business bookings are busy - that time of year when people try to book for their summer holidays, so our Crail cottage doing well, but Edinburgh getting more early year weekend breaks. All good though.

Beany blip because I didn't find anything else to snap today - light was dull, flat and we even had sleet at one point. Brrr!
