Anni Mamundi

But, on the bright side...

... I managed a capture of sorts.
This shot is testament to the notion of being 'camera-ready'.

We were chatting as we looked through the window.

RIGHT under our noses, a wren appeared and hopped from pot to pot.

We have seen wrens in the garden before, but never as close to the window as this.
The camera was almost to hand, but any movement to reach for it was likely to frighten the little bird away.
I groped behind me for the camera on the worktop, holding my breath.
With the setting where it was last time I used the camera (!) I was lucky to have an image at all.
I'm posting it as a reminder to self, to be even more ready.
(OK. It's a fair cop. I'm posting it because it's the only image I have today).

But also because you never know what might land in the garden!

The red wine forecast (it seems) is 'likely'.
Some of us, after this week, would not even be averse to a flash-flood
:-)
Happy Friday All.
