Friday: Shopping

My mother-in-law has been staying for the last few days so today, after we had dropped her off at the station for the return journey, I ventured into town to go and buy myself some smart work outfits as befits my new job - ahem!  The last few years, I have been able to get away with a relatively casual look but I am afraid those days have passed.

I am not a fan of shopping but it wasn't too painful in the end.  The worst part was trying to fend off the overly helpful shop assistant who insisted on tapping on the changing room door every few minutes!

This is Regent Street, where I did my shopping.  And I hope not to have to venture down there again too soon - it really is mayhem!

And thanks to all who expressed sympathy for my friend, Karen, following yesterday's blip.  She is fine apart from a stonking headache, as she puts it.
