Flooding in Oregon City

Sometimes the weather creates my interior mood. Other times they are just coincidentally the same. As the rivers spilled over their banks, we got one more step closer to the closure of my office and my layoff. The irony now is that I will be the only one being laid off, as the union has given wage concessions to save the union positions. Being a manager, I am better paid and therefore more expendable. I keep telling myself I will end up better off, but it is still scary. I reacted by throwing away reams of old files. At least that felt good.
