I like hummus!

Baby granddaughter R's birthday was on Tuesday this week but the celebration was extended to include a day with both sets of grandparents today. Cousin C joined us for tea and caused much excitement with bubble blowing.

We have enjoyed watching this first year of change and development, of course we think she's marvellous. It's wonderful to think that we will probably live to see "how she turns out" unlike three of our own grandparents - increased life expectancy has it's good points!

So many memories are brought back of when her mother and aunt were babies too. It is easy to look back fondly, but it's important to remember that it's also very hard work.
