Rubber Trees
I've never had much of an interest in rubber trees before, probably because I've never given them much thought. Southern Thailand, however, is full of them. The distinct, fairly skinny trees are planted in neat rows. Each has a collection cup at the bottom of a large scar along the trunk. The sap/rubber compound runs down the scar and along the bark rim until it drips into the cup. From what I saw, the sap runs more abundantly in the morning. It's white, sticks to itself, and is quite rubbery, as would be expected. :)
