The Scottish are here.
Made it for breakfast this morning, much to Mrs Al's surprise. Most of the guests including the bride and groom are heading away today but as it's a holiday monday we've booked an extra night and don't plan to head back until tomorrow.
Bad planning meant I'd not realised that the hotel had its own golf course and so in the absence of my own clubs The Open on the TV had to do.
The hotel the day before had raised a Saltire above the entrance and there it remained.
A group of American guests on the Monday just as we were leaving were overheard outside the hotel trying to figure out why a Scottish flag was flying over a Hotel in the middle of Ireland. I resisted the temptation of an easy wind-up and explained about the wedding.
I just wonder when one of the staff will notice and take the flag down.
