The road North
Lots of time today to get back up to Belfast for an evening flight back to Edinburgh so took the hire car and spent some time on the scenic coastal route back.
After a brief lunch stop in Dundalk we headed on upto Carlingford in County Louth. A fantastic small town with lots of great pubs and restaurants, some golf courses, a sailing club and medieval buildings through the town centre.
The standards of the cars parked in the driveways and streets suggest that it's idyllic location and great facilities have not been missed by the more affluent crowd. Reminded me a bit of a smaller St Andrews.
King John's castle is pictured looming over the harbour.
