A Soft Day

Its been overcast all day with almost constant drizzle or slightly heavier rain. At least there has been no wind and its felt a bit warmer. The kind of weather some of the older locals refer to as "a soft day" i.e. its not pouring and windy!

Anyway, it was a morning for catching up with paperwork and making phone calls, much of it to do with the church and other community groups we have thrown ourselves into on retirement. Its true what so many retired people say - how did I ever find the time to work?

My blip today is of a large ornamental grass in the front garden, which I think kind of sums up what is meant by a "soft day"!
