Boat work

Got this hand bearing compass for my birthday from the EG's and A and it needs somewhere on the boat to live.
Decided it could go on top of the centreboard case, it is far enough from the steel centre plate not to be adversely affected here, and it is also visible from the helm, not that I expect to be sailing a compass course too often, but it's nice to know which way you're heading.
Made it out of odds and ends of teak glued together and then oiled to match the rest of the woodwork.
The compass will come out easily to go home when we leave the boat.
