Liverpool skyline

The afternoon sun lit up Liverpool beautifully today, the old and new fit together quite well.

There were lots of people with cameras at the pier and I thought it was a local photography club. But it turned out to be "ship spotters", taking photos of the cargo ships going up the Mersey at high tide. A variation on the train spotters you see at the train stations, a very British phenomenon I think!
