Brains?
(view me large where I'm extra freaky)
A partly this and that day, sun, rain, wind, but at least no snow and ice. Part of a tree is still hanging from the lines in front of the post office. I can only imagine they're playing a game of "it's not my job". I tried to get a shot of it, but to get how it's tangled in the lines I'm pointing the camera into the area where the sun would be (if there weren't clouds in the way). I guess I only half-heartedly care if I get it as I did nothing to adjust the camera to make the most of the shot.
The weird thing about the lunch hour blip finding session (besides of course the odd thing above) was that I went looking for my usual bird blip, and there were no birds. Went to the pond, no ducks. No crows, no robins, no juncos. Later in the day I did see one seagull riding a thermal, but even on the walk to the train home, nothing. After last weeks trifecta of snow, ice and wind, then this combined with a small earthquake near Mt. St. Helens today and...the Mayans may have been on to something after all and the birds know it. Either that or there was a Sasquatch around and I missed it. There was an odd smell, but I think it was the guys in the trees behind the pond (insert crass comment about drug dealing homeless criminals that populate the city I work for here).
