In and out, and about?

Making an effort.

Took the proper camera, (well the compact anyway) out for a bit of a wander after work today, a bit of fresh air was required to clear my head.

Last day of work tomorrow and I'll miss the people and place a lot.

presented with two pictures as a leaving present one of Blencathra, the place where chinos rule, and one of Penrith, both fab and will hopefully sit on a wall of my own house in New Zealand one day..............................

So anyway, henceforth I'm going to try and make a bit of an effort with the blips, camera phone blips unless desperation sets in will be dispensed with and the camera I once payed £250 for will be brought into action!

This is the "Red Tower" of Penrith castle looking out toward beacon pike and the beacon in the distance.

Richard the third once resided here, he of the "now is the winter of our discontent" line, my sister the English wiz reminded me of recently.

Now is the winter of our discontent
Made glorious summer by this son of York;
And all the clouds that low'r'd upon our house
In the deep bosom of the ocean buried.

Rather good old William wobble dagger.
