Mi Familia

This is one of my little shrines to my Nunnie...which as first born grandchild was my verbal assassination of the Italian "nonna" and it stuck...my Nun and I were so very close...I miss her dearly and can't believe she is gone...I still think about reaching for the phone to call her when I can't remember some piece of a recipe. When I cook her recipes I feel connected again...to her and to the whole chain of strong, eccentric, brilliant and amazing women from whom I am descended. Buono appetito!
