Cormorant drying off

Why is it that on some days its hard to capture a blip and on others there are lots to choose from? Tallulah and I had a lovely sunny slow (her pace) walk along the river. We went through the bird sanctuary and one possible blip was a picture of 6 of the 11 herons sitting by the marshes. Wow that was a sight. But walking round the corner and seeing this in the tree was something I had never seen before. I have never seen a cormorant in a tree let a lone sitting there with its wings spread out . I bumped into my neighbour who reliably told me it was drying off. So here you are.
