A Beautiful Day

It's amazing how much a beautiful, sunny day can brighten one's mood.

Usually people are pretty friendly round here but walking home today it seemed like everyone was in a good mood. People smiled and said hello as they walked past one another, rather than hanging their heads and trying not to make eye contact.

I often wonder why we rely on the weather so much to put us in a good mood. It doesn't feel right - just because it's a 'dull' day shouldn't have an impact on our mood...

We should be waking up every morning and looking for things to be thankful for no matter what situation we are in or what the weather is like outside.

Next time it's raining (or not!) I am going to smile at the people I walk past. A smile is infectious and might just brighten up someone's day. Will you join me?
