Scary day

Just when life is going great, it whacks you in the teeth :)

I'll spare you the details: suffice to say I got a scare this morning at work and ended up at Blackpool Victoria Hospital, and then at my own doctor.

Now the NHS, and Blackpool Victoria Hospital takes a lot of stick, and from my experience it is totally undeserved.

I was seen within 10 minutes of arriving, and received excellent treatment. Then at my doctor, without an appointment, I was seen within 40 minutes.

Again, the care was excellent. Thank you NHS

Best news: things are nothing like as bad as first thought and I'll be firing on all cylinders at the cross country on Saturday.
