The ex, an italian restaurant and some club
The day started at midnight by seeing some DJ called Z-Trip. I didn't really want to go out, but I wanted to keep busy rather than sit around so I went out. I'm glad I did, it was a fun show and I saw some old friends.
Then when I woke up at 11ish I realized I almost overslept my landlord coming over. Since he was coming over I cleaned up my apartment a little - he was supposed to fix a few things, but he couldn't (my sink and this door he had the wrong part for). He told me to call a plumber, so I did, and he actually walked me through how to fix it (and I did). Then Chiara came over, always kind of a weird day when you're hanging out with the ex-girlfriend. We've managed to remain friends, but sometimes it's rough, anyways she had the idea to go to the lake which was a fantastic idea since the weather was PERFECT today. Here are some pics
Some pollution
A cop on the bike trail (very odd looking since I've never seen anything but bikes and joggers, I love chicago cops they just do whatever they want anytime - it's funny).
The lake
The evil awful ex-girlfriend (kidding, she's a great person).
Then I did my yoga routine (thank god yoga is over for the week, I still hate it), then we went to this italian place up the street. Normally w/italian it's all about the sauce, but this place the pasta itself was really amazing - I was extremely impressed and will be going back there again soon.
Then what, hmmm, oh then I went to this club called Lumen to meet some friends. It was nice to get out and get a nice mental refresh after being with the ex all day!! The place played 80s music (my other friend told me that's in now) which I love. I always wonder why they don't always play this stuff since no one dances to the crap on the radio now, but everyone seems to love the 80s and early 90s stuff. Anyways, this place was expensive, but I like that since the crowds are always a little better (no super drunk guys picking fights). I stayed there until 3ish then took a cab home and that was about it. Overall today was odd and tough, but a good day.
