Today I went to a BMW charity event for breast cancer. It's really neat, basically you just drive around these new BMWs and for every mile you drive they donate $1. I raised about $22 today =). I got to drive a 335i coupe and some 5 series. I was really impressed by the 3 series coupe, it was so fast and responsive and handled great. When I had done the event a few years ago I remember being disappointed in the 3 series convertible that I had. At that time I had an infiniti g35 and I was expecting the bmw to kill it since it's the ultimate driving machine, but I just remember thinking "that's it?" My infiniti just felt more raw and I guess I liked that more.

After that I worked out with Matt, it's nice to workout w/someone every so once in awhile since doing it solo gets a little dull sometimes. And just when we were doing the cool down my buzzer rang and it was my friend Mandy who came out today to hang out (she got here a little faster than I expected). I've been friends with her for awhile and she's actually married to one of my best friends Dan (I was friends w/both of them before they started dating and all that). I haven't hung out with her, just her, in years. Generally it's in a group of friends (or at least Dan), but since she got married and had a kid there's just no time! That and I live 40 miles away now (I'm in the city, she's in the suburbs). Anyways it was great to see her, catch up, and vent about stuff.

She's one of those friends that even though we don't talk much I always have no problem in picking up where I left off and I can just yap to her for hours. We went this italian place called Pizza Bella on roscoe street, I've been there before and it doesn't disappoint. Then we went to Lush for a wine tasting, but this week it was beer tasting and I don't know anything about beer but they were IPAs. They were awful, I almost gagged, but Mandy seemed to like them.

Fun day =-)
